Extinguishers have their limits. A portable fire extinguisher can save lives and property by putting out small fires or containing it until the Fire Brigade arrives. FIRE SAFETY IN HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

Summary:
Hospitals and Nursing homes must take the dangers of fire seriously. Patients can be in great danger because of incapacitation, unconsciousness or other reasons. Infants and toddlers will not understand that they are in danger. Hospital and nursing staff can be prepared in two ways, by Prevention and being prepared.
